When asked about the relationship of being a lawyer, musician and acupressure practitioner, Jenny Maybee replies it is simply the path she took while facing her own health challenges and creative process.
Jenny Maybee has loved music all of her life; performing, teaching, directing and studying for nearly 30 years. As a child, she started classical piano lessons at age four and soon began improvising and composing. She graduated from college with highest honors in Music and has taught or performed professionally since 1991. Her music has encompassed jazz, composition, piano, voice and various instruments along the way.
Jenny’s passion for music, particularly improvisation, led her to study the use of sound in healing. Knowing that music was a great healer in her own life, she eventually began sharing this tool with her audiences. Jenny has performed for Alzheimer’s patients, led women at shelters to express themselves through music, and brought chanting and improvisation to women’s healing circles. |
